About

Who runs ADL Business Coach, and why it exists

This is a matching service for South Australian business owners, run by 1 person in Adelaide. The page below says who that is, what the service does, what it deliberately doesn’t do, and who pays for it.

Coaches pay me a fee for each enquiry I pass on. That's how this free service is funded, and it means I introduce you to coaches in the network rather than every coach in Adelaide. How this works

The person behind it

My name’s Chris Lourenco. I run Loudachris Digital Marketing, a marketing business in Adelaide, and ADL Business Coach is operated by it. That’s the whole structure. There’s no call centre, no offshore qualification desk and nobody between you and me. When you fill in the form on this site, the email lands in my inbox and I’m the one who reads it.

The details, so you can check them rather than take them on trust:

  • Operator: Loudachris Digital Marketing (Chris Lourenco, Director)
  • ABN: 73 630 143 190
  • Address: 21-22 Greenhill Rd, Wayville SA 5034
  • Email: chris@loudachris.com.au
  • Phone: 0403 454 199
  • Area covered: Adelaide and South Australia

Every sentence on this site is written in the first person singular, and that isn’t a style tic. There’s 1 person here. Copy written in the plural is describing staff who don’t exist, and on a site whose whole proposition is that it tells you the awkward part up front, an imaginary team would be a strange place to start.

This is a new service, and I'd rather say so

This is a new service. I’m building the Adelaide network now, and I’d rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.

So there are no client counts on this site, no star scores, no wall of logos and no case study about a business that supposedly tripled. There’s nothing I could put in that space today that would be true. Inventing one is against the law under the Australian Consumer Law, and it’s also insulting to the kind of reader this site is written for: an owner who has already sat through a pitch full of numbers nobody could show them.

What you get instead is the material a new operator can actually stand behind. Published price bands with the date they were checked. Market statistics from the Australian Bureau of Statistics and the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, with the source printed beside the figure. A written standard the coaches in the network are checked against. And the funding arrangement, said out loud on every page rather than buried in a footer.

Why this site exists

Business coaching isn’t a licensed occupation in Australia. There’s no register, no regulator and no statutory qualification, so anybody can put the title on a card tomorrow morning and start charging for it. Some of the people who do that have run 3 businesses through a recession. Some of them finished a weekend course. From the outside, on a website, the 2 look identical.

That’s a genuinely hard buying problem, and it gets harder because of what fills the search results. Confident claims with nothing behind them. Suburb pages built by swapping 1 place name into a template. Pricing that appears only after you’ve given up an hour on a discovery call. An owner working a 60-hour week doesn’t have the time to sort through that, and usually gives up.

What I do about it is narrow and checkable. I ask what’s actually going on in the business. I check every coach in the network against a published standard of 13 items before they receive a single enquiry, and the standard is published in full so you can hold me to it. I tell you a coach’s background and their current fee band before any introduction is made. And if nobody in the network works on what you’ve described, I say so and nothing gets passed to anyone.

That’s a smaller promise than most of this industry makes. It’s also one I can keep every time, which is the only kind worth publishing.

Adelaide and South Australia, and nowhere else

The network covers Adelaide metro and the South Australian regions around it: the Hills, the Barossa, the Fleurieu, and the towns an Adelaide-based coach can reasonably get to. That’s the whole catchment.

If you’re running a business in another state, this site has nothing to offer you and I’ll tell you that plainly rather than pass your details to somebody who happens to take video calls. Coverage you invent is the easiest representation in the world to make and the hardest to keep, so the limit is printed in the footer of every page rather than left for you to discover after you’ve filled in a form.

Working locally also does something useful for the matching. A coach who has sat in South Australian businesses knows what a quiet January does to a Hills cellar door, what a fixed-price contract does to a builder’s cash position, and what the drive from Gawler to a client in Seaford costs a small team in billable hours. That context is most of the value in the first 3 months.

What I don't do

A matching service that's vague about its limits is doing it on purpose. Here are mine, so you can decide in the next 30 seconds whether this is worth your time.

I don't deliver the coaching
ADL Business Coach is a matching service. Coaching is delivered by separate, independent Adelaide coaching businesses, on their own terms and at their own fees. The agreement is between you and them, and I'm not a party to it.
I don't cover the whole Adelaide market
Introductions come from coaches in the network, and those coaches pay for them. There are good coaches in this city who aren't in the network, and you're free to approach them directly.
I don't rank coaches against each other
No scores, no league table, no ordering by who pays more. I look at what your business does and what you've said you want to change, and I say who in the network has actually worked on that.
I don't advise on money, filing or contracts
Investments, super and insurance belong to a licensed financial adviser. Anything you owe or claim belongs to a registered tax agent. Anything contractual belongs to a lawyer. Coaching sits alongside those 3, never on top of them.

What you can hold me to

3 commitments, all of them about my own conduct rather than about what happens to your revenue. That distinction is the whole point.

  • You'll hear from me within 1 business day.
  • I'll pass your details to up to 3 coaches in the network.
  • You'll be told a coach's fee band before any introduction is made.

Those are things I control, so they’re things I can be measured against. What a coach’s work does to your margin, your hours or your headcount isn’t in my control and isn’t entirely in theirs either, which is why you won’t find a claim about it anywhere on this site. Coaching is a process, not a product, and how much it helps depends largely on what you do between the sessions.

If a coach in the network ever quotes you a revenue figure they can hit, or a period inside which your problem will be solved, I’d treat that as a warning sign and I’d like to hear about it.

Coaching isn't financial, tax or legal advice. Business coaching covers things like pricing, margins, cash flow, hiring, systems and planning. It isn't financial product advice, tax advice or legal advice, and the coaches in this network don't provide those unless they separately hold the licence or registration to do so and tell you that themselves. For advice on investments, super or insurance, see a licensed financial adviser. For tax, see a registered tax agent. For anything contractual or employment-related, see a lawyer.
